Brittany Rae
Coloratura soprano
Originally from Calgary, soprano, Brittany Rae, recently graduated from McGill University with a Graduate Artist Diploma where she performed the role of Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor ). During her time at McGill, she was also featured as the soprano soloist in Orff’s ‘Carmina Burana‘, and in Fausto Romitelli’s ‘Lost’ with the McGill Contemporary Ensemble. This past season’s highlights include performing the role of Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro ) with Toronto City Opera, as well as, performing with Chants Libres (Oper’Actuel 2019), Tapestry Opera (Songbook IX) and 23Degree Theatre. Brittany has also recently performed as part of several exhibitions with Fondation Phi pour l’art contemporain in Montréal. Brittany recently enjoyed a busy summer full of contemporary music making at the Vocal Institute Residency with soprano, Tony Arnold at the SoundSCAPE Festival in Cesena, Italy, as well as at Against the Grain Theatre’s Summer Intensive Program in Toronto.
